Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an award winning accountancy firm within the South West. We are assisting them to recruit a First Line IT Helpdesk Engineer based in the Taunton practice working as part of the helpdesk team, you will be the first point of contact to staff with any IT issues/queries covering all offices within the region.

You will be responsible for the following:


  • First point of contact to staff regarding any IT issues
  • Resolving/referring  jobs to colleagues to ensure IT systems are working effectively
  • Explain IT issues to non IT members of staff
  • Managing telephone systems
  • Maintaining the network and associated technologies

Skills and experience you will have:


  • Customer service skills
  • Experience within a similar IT position
  • IT Qualification (MCP or CCENT)
  • Proven knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Experience of managing telephone systems
  • Scripting
  • Experience in supporting Accountancy based systems e.g. Sage, Digita, Iris.
  • Working on a ITIL based helpdesk
