Job Description

Are you looking for a new temporary role? Do you have finance experience? Then we have to role for you!

The role is to provide financial support to the operational management team and operatives with the Housing maintenance department. This shall include providing financial information, the analysis of transactions ensuring correct allocation at month end, administration of invoices and telephone support in relation to purchases.

Your duties will include, but won’t be limited to:


  • Create, update and maintain accurate records in both financial and housing database systems
  • Utilise reporting functionality of systems to ensure income and expenditure are correctly allocated
  • Ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices or journals for completed repairs or projects
  • Process invoices for payment in the Oracle fusion Financial system and deal with anomalies
  • Work closely with supervisor and operational staff in efficient processing of orders to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Maintain good working relationships with key suppliers and ensure all issues are promptly resolved
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of departmental budgets,  current position and forecasts
  • Respond to enquiries, regularly providing advice on financial procedures and policies
  • Contribute towards the development and implementation of departmental financial procedures

This is a temporary role starting 17th February 2020 - 1st May 2020 with possible extension. This is a 25 hour contract.
