Job Description

IT Systems Administrator

Smart Recruitment is currently recruiting on the behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Yeovil. We are currently assisting them to recruit an IT Professional

The job will require someone to manage network infrastructure and support Enterprise Resource Planning Computer system (IFS) in accordance with the Company’s requirements.

The role is responsible for the following:

Administering Windows servers and Active Directory including group policies.
Making required changes to the system, after agreement with appropriate members of the IT Team; this will include (but is not limited to) the deploying of patches to IFS and Oracle.
Documenting changes made to the system.
Ensuring that the IFS system is available, as required, for both on-site and remote users; this will from time-to-time require work outside of normal working hours, occasionally unscheduled.
Create new IFS Users and Security Roles and assign Users to Roles.
Manage the backing up and restoring of data to/from backup solutions as necessary.
Have the relevant training, IT governance or similar.
User Support
To give necessary support to assist in resolving any IT problems
To act as first line support, to include cover for month end processing.
To develop and issue appropriate user guidelines
To devise and deliver appropriate training to users.
Raise and progress support calls with IFS.
The company is looking for someone who possess the following skills and attributes:

Graduate or “A” level standard or an Advanced GNVQ or an NVQ level 3, or related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and training.
High level of Computer skill required including: - Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet software, E-mail, Database software.
Preferably an IT qualification incorporating Server Administration.
Driving licence required.
