Do you want to work for a well-established international engineering company that manufacture highly specialised products for all kinds of applications?

The company require a Production Scheduler who will take day to day responsibility for the manufacturing schedule of the whole site. You will have multiple team leaders reporting into you, and for whom you will set priorities each day, according to the needs of the business and the successful completion of the manufacturing schedule. To do this job you will need to have previous people management experience, and ideally experience of managing production using an ERP system, from production start, through to customer despatch

A sample of your duties would be:

  • Maintaining  the works production schedule using  the company ERP system.
  • Daily management of the production unit, ensuring adherence to schedule in line with customer delivery expectations.
  • Generating manufacturing works orders and issuing components
  • Monitoring slippages and creating recovery plans (if required) to ensure customer delivery date compliance.
  • Reporting identified late start dates, stating root cause and actions taken with production to realign production activities.
  • Liaising with purchasing to ensure material availability  
  • Generating despatch paperwork for global shipments.
  • Providing accurate monthly on-time delivery data.

Whilst a background in engineering would be beneficial it is not essential, as long as you have worked in manufacturing and have the right people skills to achieve great results.
