Job Description
Have you got experience in a production environment, but are looking for a step up or a new challenge? Perhaps you have worked in the production department of a local food manufacturer before in a supervisory capacity? If so, we have an opportunity that will surely be of interest to you!

The job is available at an award winning international manufacturing company that supplies to over 90 different countries across the globe. They are leaders in their niche field, and have their head office operation in the beautiful South Somerset countryside. Due to the continuing expansion of their business, we are seeking to appoint 2 x new members of staff to their Production department.

We require candidates who are hands on, proactive and able to operate with high levels of attention to detail. The successful candidate will need to have a mechanical / machine operative background and sound knowledge and experience of lean manufacturing / continuous improvement techniques.
Core hours are 08:30 – 17:00 Mon to Fri, but you will also need to be flexible from time to time to start at 06:00 and work until 17:00, or occasionally work a Saturday or a late shift (17:00 – 03:30) – additional premiums are available if these additional hours are worked.

This is not an office job! In this job you will be working on the shop floor all of the time, helping the production manager to plan and deliver the work required through motivating and deploying your team of operatives as effectively as possible. All of this needs to be done within an environment that is heavily regulated with regards processes and hygiene, so ideally you will have worked in this type of production setting before.
