Job Description
Smart Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a highly respected, award-winning contemporary furniture brand, designing, manufacturing and selling its own ranges throughout the UK and abroad, including through its Projects Division. Clients include multi-national companies, British icons, architects, office and workspace interiors, prestigious student accommodation developments and luxury hotels around the world. They work with some of the world’s most renowned designers and manufacturers to produce furniture of an exceptionally high standard in terms of design and quality whilst keeping their footprint as light as possible.
They are an established team of dynamic professionals working in a fast paced, stimulating environment in fabulous, architect designed, custom built offices and production facilities set in one of the most scenic rural locations you could imagine.
As a result of continued growth, we would like to find them an experienced Installation Manager to join their Projects team. This role will focus on delivering high value, multiple room projects in the UK and Europe.
As directed by the Projects Manager, the role will include:
• Participation in pre-planning of installations, eg logistics, fitting teams
• Client and supplier liaison
• Site-based management of all aspects of delivery, distribution and installation of interior furniture
• Budgetary control
• Reporting
You need experience in:
• Managing site-based personnel (preferable)
• Scheduling/planning large scale works (strongly preferred)
• Furniture (preferable, especially contract furniture)
You need to be:
• Super organised, with an ability to multi task and prioritise
• Dynamic, highly motivated and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Reliable, committed and able to work independently
• Professional, friendly and able to work well within a team
• Eager and enthusiastic, pro-active with a can do attitude and hands on approach
• A first class communicator, both verbal and written
• Skilled in IT (eg Microsoft Office, project software and snagging software)
• Prepared to work away from home for 3-4 days (2-3 nights) each week over a 4-6 month period each year
